Enjoying a drop of red.
Try this https://www.pdftoword.com

Save the Chinese pdf to your PC. Then upload it to the above and provided you have filled in your details correctly it will email the document back to you in Word format. You can then do what you want with it and when you have finished, save it to PDF.

Foxit reader is a free alternative to acrobat. It's what I use when I want to edit a pdf.

Unlike the bird flu declaration I had to fill in on the train from Irkutsk to Beijing, at the border crossing, which helpfully had a choice of Russian or Chinese...!

The "Life in the United Kingdom Test" can be taken in Welsh - I've often wondered if anybody ever has?

There are no tickable or text fields in the pdf document, neither is there
a submit button. I have opened this document with Acrobat professional
and can not do anything with it other than read it.

Correction: I ran Form Field Recognition on the file in Acrobat Professional
and the fields became usable i.e. I could type into them. However, I can
also let them know that I am both male and female and, that I am employed
and unemployed and, there is still no submit button.

I will try to attach the saved file with fillable form fields in the hope that it may help.

Fingers crossed....Bugger!! I tried to and got: Uploads are not available!!
