The petrol garage opposite the prison, filled up the other day and the guy had to put down his two phones before he served me, no manners whatsoever, no p's & q's, made me feel like I was wasting his time by stopping to buy petrol. Never again. I was glad to return to Shell on Sandon Rd and see the nutty guy once again, he could teach the former about making customers feel welcome. If yer reading this Shell bosses, pay the guy more money, he brings customers back.

Never used those by the prison, but thru work the Shell garage is the 1 of choice.
That bloke is worth his weight in chocolate. Can't say I've ever known him grumpy.

He is just right, pleasant without being obsequious and, yet, with just a slight air of contempt, providing a little entertainment as you pay....

I can't believe you are all on about the bloke in the shell garage......he's downright rude (dirty rude, not sweary rude) to me, I was actually speechless last time I went in, & I no longer go in there . . .

I dont know, you would have to describe him to me, but short of sticking his d!ck in my face he has no limits.....he started off being friendly & funny on my weekly visits & it soon got downright weird & obscene ...... ...

*I have worked with many men of different types through the years & I'm not a shrinking violet -or the type to be offended by a wolf whistle or bit of banter. ..

I like the way that he, as instructed, offers you the "opportunity" to buy whatever chocolate bar or whatever, that they're requiring him to promote this week, in such a way that he would clearly ask you again, if you agreed, in case you had misunderstood him...

The bloke who I encountered serving there a while back was a right t0sser! I vowed never to go in there again at the time. If I need to fill up that end of town I go to the one by the prison since.

Very odd if it was the same bloke, I actually enjoy going in there to top up, the woman who works nights is as mad as a fruitbat (but quite lovely with it) today was a lovely Asian girl who seems to love her job and gives a big smile, I can honestly say I find it the friendliest garage I've ever visited.

My experience of next to the prison however has always been completely the opposite over the years.

Have to say my experience of the guy at shell isnt a positive one at all, he ranges from very over familiar to dismissive, one time rude for no reason. I still use the shell but prefer to pay at pump.

Is it the guy whos cathphrase is "ok fire away" in a boycie type voice at the point where you enter your pin when paying by card.

I take back what I said about the staff being pleasant in the one by the prison. Wasn't horrible, but the bloke couldn't even say good morning when I filled up today.

Filled up there as the Sandon Road one hasn't had prices displayed for a couple of weeks. Anyone know how much their unleaded is?
