Urgh - disgusting for Lotus House, and the last time I'm ordering from there - used them quite a lot in the past so really pleased I saw this.

I see Narvana, The Island, Ali's kebas and Wok Stop all got 5's - phew!

Disappointing to see the Mill at Worston only got a 2 -have eaten there a few times, so will now think again

I wonder how our own individual homes would fare under this type of scrutiny

Out of date products served - tick

Mouldy bread scraped and toasted - tick

Dirty grill pan - tick

Food served up with unwashed hands - tick

Limescale deposits in kettle - tick

5*

This is an eye opener!

I haven't ordered from New Lotus House for a while and doubt I will be anytime soon.

That Abduls one is quite worrying... They're our 'go to' for an indian takeaway. I can't say I've ever felt ill after either. I'm guessing that report was fairly recent (there's no date on there) but it mentions the fairly newish allergen legal responsibilities. I think they came into law in December last year.
As Mr. Marwood is alluding to, the star rating is more of a paper work exercise usually. Although clearly in some cases it does highlight bad practice.

La Creperie must have either appealed or have been re-inspected, they have a 3 star now. The original report, which I had read has disappeared.

Wonder with the number of 0 and 1 star reports whether they have a new very zealous member of staff or whether the establishments really are that bad? Abdul's does appear to have the first ever health and safety notice attached to theirs (open cellar hole in yard)
