Cycle Paths

On my way back from taking the "Red Arrows" picture elsewhere, I used a short piece of the Beaconside cycle path that I don't think I've ever used before - I discovered this miniature cenotaph in the middle of it, though somebody may have pinched the little poppy wreaths.

I wonder how many people have hit this in the dark?

It looks like the quidco tracks on the ex vat amount, my order was for £22 plus £3.99 postage but the quidco tracked as an £18.33 purchase. Still £2.75 back though so can't complain!

I have some sealskinz socks. Wore them when we went kayaking in Bala Reservoir. it was the strangest sensation, standing in freezing cold water with my feet bone dry and warm.

I got medium ladies and they fit well. I can sometimes get away with small though. They did give the impression they could be very warm.

Gotta say I'm very impressed with the CS from Sealskinz on this. Turns out I put one digit in the address wrong, so it should have gone to a neighbour. It didn't though, they have seen nothing. The tracking had since decided it was left at my local depot. I called RM and had a most unhelpful lady, refused to even discuss why it said it had been delivered originally and said the building was closed hence no delivery yet - its a house not a business?

Sealskinz contacted RM to see if I could fetch it, they then change the tracking to say the recipient has gone away and are returning it to sender (I saw my neighbour yesterday, he's definitely not gone away!). My parcel is now en-route back to sealskinz, who not only refunded my postage after the first debacle but now won't accept me paying postage again to get it sent back out!

Well, I got no reply, but we do have a concrete bollard now.

I have never understood the point of this as it stops nothing really. The biggest hazard down the lines is the moron teenage boys on motorbikes who just get past bollards like this easily
