Top of the league after 5 games!
Captain reaches 400 games!
Club Bookings on the up!
Everybody busy!
Carry on!

PS If you haven't visited the club lately, pop in during the day and have a sandwich or a cuppa and check out the new surroundings. I was there tonight and every room was booked out.

Plus the new sponsorship lounge, which looks fantastic. The pitch has also been relaid which allows our players to play attractive, exciting football.

The crowds are on the up.

There is no membership required to attend games. Just turn up and make some noise.

I think you will be impressed with the improved facilities and work is still ongoing to improve the toilet facilities, function room and to bring back the shed end.

In response to John Marwood a lot of hard work has been done and there is now a preferred scheme. Positive pre application discussions have taken place with the local planning authority.

I'm hoping that I will be in a position to submit the planning application within the next few months. Approval (?) early next year and build it during the close season.

Unbeaten in the league having won 9 and drawn 1 and now 8 points clear, having gone through to the next round of the FA Trophy after beating Tividale yesterday. Publicity for the club is increasing and there's a rather decent chap who writes in the Newsletter on a regular basis. Nowt but positivity coming forth at the moment!

If we carry on the way we are we will be back on ceefax next year!
After our first league defeat last weekend at money men Shaw Lane Aquaforce, we bounced back with a 0 0 draw in the local derby at Newcastle Town but then hammered Rugby Town with a 4 win yesterday to maintain our 8 point (yes 8 point) lead at the top of the table. A crowd of 562 was better than virtually all the clubs at our level and division above so it shows people are starting to take notice. The club was busier than we've seen it on a match day, for a while. Things are picking up with us on a run, crowds increasing and the club being busy every week. You can now get a carvery in the club on a Sunday lunch time! Pop in and give it a go.
We are also at home again on next Saturday afternoon against Market Drayton Town. 3pm on 24th - tell your friends!

Rangers are at home again this weekend and still calling on the twelfth man to get behind them. Market Drayton Town at 3pm on Saturday is the fixture.

Showing a bit more support and community spirit, the club are again helping out a charity and a local young lady. At the age of 27, Jo has been diagnosed with MND. She and her family are organising some fund raisers for the MND charity and will be holding a charity football match at Marston Road on Sunday 15th November at 2pm and a further charity night in the club on Saturday 19th December.

There could be a good community feel at Marston Road this weekend. Saturday, Rangers, who are still top, take on third placed Coalville at home and as there are no top flight games it is hoped we get a good turn out.
Sunday then sees the Motor Neurone Disease charity match, as advertised further up the thread. Why not get along to the game(s) if you haven't been for a while.
