An HSBC worker was investigated after sending messages to a customer after finding her on Facebook.

But the staff member, who cannot be named as an Ombudsman investigation is ongoing, has kept his job after an internal investigation, according to the woman.

HSBC customer Debbie Tuttle, aged 28 from Rising Brook in Stafford, said she was told she was 'stunning' and 'good looking' by the worker in messages.

What you reckon?

Ok - it's a bit wrong - but it doesn't say anywhere that used his position to gain any "classified" information.

Quite what it's got to do with the Ombudsman I have no idea.

If I was her I'd take the £250 and run...... oh and stop pushing such a non story into every paper going.

I've just put her name into my Facebook and she appears at the very top of the list.... maybe she needs to review her Privacy settings, especially now as her name has been printed in multiple newspapers across the country,

She must be distraught with the Distress and Star Pic having a quick peruse through her publicly accessible Facebook pics. I think HSBCs statement is quite telling as well. More to this than meets the eye maybe ....

I wouldn't have made an issue of it in the first place, surely it's easy enough just to block someone you don't want to have contract with.

However I'm certain that the reason she has refused the £250 is because she's after a much bigger payout. She's part of the reason or society is buggered.

I think her reaction is completely over the top and attention seeking. It is so easy to find people on Facebook if you know their name and what area they live in. However why would this guy message her if he knew she was married and not available ... I think there is more to this than is being disclosed imo.

she should take it as a compliment. Doubt she gets called Stunning very ofton . I could understand the problem if the HSBC worker had got her number from HSBC and was textin/calling I,but he clearly didn't . I've had some right wierdos say some creepy stuff to me before. It happens ,just get over it.
I had some really old man tell me " just seeing you is giving me a right hard on. I'm going to have to go relieve myself" whilst trying to grope me .he then dispeared to the toilet for a while then returned and sat on table opposite me staring.

What if said worker had approached her in a pub ? A shop ? Would he still be in trouble then ?

I would have gone over and threw his drink over him and called him "a disgusting dirty old man!"

she's crying out for the guy to be sacked and expecting a lot of compo. why? making out to the papers how deeply offended she is.
stunning? I think the guy has gone way over the top there, he needs to get out the bank on his lunch hour and walk down the highstreet more often.
£250 goodwill gesture is £250 too much.

I don't' know all the facts so I can't have a full blown opinion, however I think if someone complains so publicly about someone paying them too much attention, I have to scratch my noggin and wonder.

What a load of bollox! Seriously, if you don't want people messaging you on facebook lock down your profile. As said if he was snooping through bank stuff to get her details then fire the bugger but if he's only used the information she published its her own problem.

A simple nope would have stopped this, saying sorry just don't fancy you would have knocked it on its head. Going to the papers just makes you look like an attention whore.

I would have done if he wasn't so old. He must have been at least 90 and was using a zimoframe. It was shocking. I was watching him shuffleling over to me and was expecting him to ask for help or something. I was gobsmacked when he opened his mouth. Just didn't expect he hear what he was going to say. What made it worse was that he was trying to show me his package lol Its making me giggle/cribge now just thinking about it.

Maybe I should ask for compensation lol

I saw the article on the front page of the snoozeletter, I couldn't believe it had made the front page and couldn't understand what she was so upset about, it's her social media account! I was able to look it up in the speed it took me to type her name.
For the life of me I can't see why this warrants getting the poor guy the sack, my guess is that she may have been flirting with said man and it's backfired when he thought his luck was in and contacted her on Bookface and hubby saw, so she's thrown a tantrum!

Having had a look at her Facebook profile (I think/hope), I think she should ditch the glasses....better pics of her without them on.....
