It's a trap, classic move - induce an over-extensive advance, than a quick pincer movement to cut off the supply lines - and the retreat.

Week off so think I'll be digging the walking boots out it'll be a lot quicker no doubt and better for the mood
That's why I walk everywhere around Stafford . It takes less time than having the car and spending 2 hours a day driving to hubbys work across the other side of town and back, to drop him off and pick him up after.

Daughter stuck on Argos car park ( The Hough) tonight for over an hour!

It was madness this morning - backed up to the railway bridge at what was probably the quietest time of the day. Best avoided altogether, where possible. People blocking the exit from the car-park (of course) - I escaped via the Aldi works and Baswich, in the end.

Enjoying a drop of red.
Madness this evening, inbound from Cannock direction. Two sets of disruption on A34, as advertised so obviously people were going down Baswich Lane and across to the Tixall Road as an alternative. Only problem is some unthinking arsehole has plonked a set of three way lights at the junction of St Thomas Lane and Tixall Road causing yet more misery.

If it wasn't for the fact we own our premises in Stafford, I'd relocate us as I've really had enough of this. To allow two different sets of work to disrupt travel on two major routes in one particular direction in and out of town is just madness. Not only does nobody ever get sacked for it, but they keep authorising it time and time again.

My thoughts exactly. Haven't the County Council learnt from last year not to run more than one set of roadworks so close together/
As I said before, I really feel for the businesses in Stafford. Yes, the pipe work needs doing but the way they have been planned has been painful and Stafford has now a reputation for traffic jams.

Temporary lights AGAIN on Radford Bank and then to get into town to find the Lichfield Road closed AGAIN?!

Took me 45 mins to get from Baswich to far side of town. What a joke!

Who authroises this mess?

As I keep repeating

It's all down to a Conservative Prime Minister

This one was Thatcher
