Hi folks, My son has a smashed the screen on his i-phone!Playing with the pooch & dropped out of his hand on to the tiled floor! :ohno: Shattered the screen Amazingly still functions, :bravo: Can only be a matter of time, happened a month ago, and there are fragments of it dropping out all the time!:gonk: God knows how it still works, I had an android that hit the floor while celebrating a Rangers goal, and it only worked for a few minutes! :mystery: Testament to the i-phone!

No insurance, does anyone know somewhere in 'Ford that does new screens for i-phones, that they would recommend? A reasonable priced emporium/vendore would also be desirable?

Over to you? :help:

I dropped my phone the other day and smashed the screen and went into the new phone place in the high house, pricey but they did a good job in less than a hour. Have you got insurance that will cover it, that's another option, I do, but I needed my phone at the time and didn't want to send it off.

Thanx Darben, no insurance, my phone insurance through my bank account has been used for mine, and the other phone I have registered for my other sons pone!

"Pricey"? details as we have a few quotes?

The price depends on your iPhone I think it's between 55 & 85, the more up to date the more pricy it gets.

I have to admit I didn't shop around, I was so annoyed with myself and saw the A board advert 5 mins after the incident and went straight in to get it sorted, I seem to remember they only took cash which I thought was well dodgy and made me nervous.

I had a Sony fixed there, were the only ones who'd touch it! I already had the screen so just cost 30 labour.

I do iphone 4 / 4S / 5 / 5C & 5S, but I get the screens in to order so you'd have to wait a few days if you wanted it doing.

iPhone 4 / 4S = £40
iPhone 5 / 5C / 5S = £60

The screens I get are complete screens and not just the front glass.

I can thoroughly recommend Mr WMR, I've lost count of how many times he's saved me from a getting a face full of glass when my phone rings, though unfortunately for him I've now invested in a decent phone cover.

Sorry, hadn't checked on here today, my son sorted his phone out himself. He went to I-fix in Crabbery St, cost him £70, was sorted inside an hour, with a full check & a guarantee for work carried out! He is very happy, so who am I to question him? Thanks to all of you who answered my plea for help,

TY wmrc*, Could have saved himself £ 10!
