The County Hospital

Its obviously part of the grand scheme. If a hospital doesnt have enough staff in a certain area why cant they just employ some more? Its bullshit. over the last 4 or 5 years its grown to look more like a clinic than a hospital. Surgical will be the next thing to go i bet, then it can become an oversized cottage hospital. The wankers pulling the strings have a plan and its not to keep the hospital running in its previous form. It seems they are letting it fail. It reminds me of "the revenant". Hes gonna die, we will pay a couple of you to stick around, whilst we scarper, and when he does die just give him a decent burial!

The problem is that they can't employ more people. They are struggling to employ more staff.

Because of historic events no self respecting doctor, nurse or consultant actually wants to have Stafford Hospital on their CV.

It's tainted and it will take many years before people forget.

It's probably best to cut their losses, knock it down, rebuild in another part of town and start again afresh.

I dont believe that for a second.

Apparently the staff that have worked there for years are loyal and want to make it work. They are dedicated and hardworking.

But over time they retire or leave for other reasons.

It's recruiting new staff that's the problem, I repeat that no one wants it on their CV.

If they hadn't moved all the consultants to Stoke and Wolverhampton this wouldn't be a problem. Daughter's asthma consultant had an office on Shugborough ward, did rounds on the ward and a clinic every week. Now he's at Wolverhampton can barely get in to see him there or Cannock and there's no communication. It's a shitty shambles and they ought to be ashamed for doing this to our kids.

The Francis report have named names and held people accountable, including all those in councils and scrutiny committees, and started afresh. Instead of that the gov decided to waste millions more on this 'special administration' lark, which destroyed confidence and morale.

Im sure there are plenty of doctors and consultants abroad who wouldnt be bothered and would take the posts.

It's not as simple as filling vacant posts

It's a complex issue .

Osborne left post having imposed across the board cuts to every single corner of the Heath Service

Nobody has looked into how this would impact on the ill and injured. It's simply a back of the envelope how to save money slash

Then there are existing local debts

And the poorly run Stafford Clinical Commissioning Group

Along with a Conservative government adamant that they will continue to refuse any possible new revenue streams through taxes on sugar etcetera

And of course as it never effects us all at the same moment in time an inertia occurs

It'll be for the best.

..we'll be told..

Was thinking if this is the case surely the ambulance service would become further stretched, because some people won't have the means to get to stoke or Wolverhampton independently

It might be better if he didn't.

Anyway, 48.4% voted for him last time, 4.5% up on the previous result, so he has a good bit of leeway, even if a few of them don't next time.

And, there could be the 12.9% UKIP votes to be shared out somewhere, too - he might get a few of those?

Couple that with a population unable or unwilling to separate their own actions ( their vote ) with the destruction of their services
