Trailer Test - B+E Licence

I'm one of the generation that unfortunately has to pass a supplementary test to tow a large trailer/caravan etc.

There are a few companies locally that appear to do the training/test, but I don't have any experience of them. Just wondering if anyone on here had someone they could recommend?

Depending on what you want to tow you may not need one. My mate has just bought a caravan and it turns out that the combined weight did not push him over the gross weight threshold so its definitely worth checking out first....

This is correct, however just make sure the caravan/trailers weight isn't more than 85% of the towing vehicle. Don't do what I saw a few people do this summer and tow a van close to 2 tonnes with a golf or similar.

Alternatively you can do what we do and have a lightweight caravan under 750kg and tow it with whatever you want to.

Also being a late passer of tests, I will be looking to do my C1 test in the future so I can upgrade my motorhome.
