Vegan / Vegetarian restaurant in Stafford?

This whole veggie / vegan restaurant talk is very tedious - it's all food, yummy, delicious food. If everyone thought like that on here / in the UK - as they do in so many other countries it's not a problem. Sometimes a dish might have no meat in it (a margarita pizza for instance) sometimes it might not have any dairy / meat products (a vegetable stirfry for instance) . Just think of it all as food, eat what makes you happy, and stop caring about what other people eat to make them happy.

Unless there is proof of a new restaurant of any persuasion opening up in Stafford can I suggest this conversation move to one of the more general boards, or someone can bring back one of the many discussions on the same matter.

How about somebody had a go at setting up a homemade veggie/vegan delivery service?
I wouldn't have thought set up costs would be excessive and social media gives an avenue for free advertising. If a success then it would give confidence to open a café/resteruant
I went to the Great British Food Festival at Shugborough today, and half expected to see a veggie or vegan stall - something that might introduce me to some vegetarian cuisine - but nothing. Despite there being plenty of meat products on show, not a van or stall focussing or vegetarian or vegan products.

ETA A nice afternoon out if you haven't been. £6.50 entrance. http://www.shugborough.org.uk/Events/eventpages/Event-The-Great-British-Food-Festival.aspx Make sure you haven't had your lunch first, though. I'd forgotten all about it and had already eaten (vegetarian, as it happens).

Even a city like Manchester or Birmingham is limited in choice when it comes to veggie food. The one's I've been to in Manchester and Birmingham were down side streets away from the centre.

So somewhere like Stafford just isn't going to have enough customers to stay afloat. You can't really say there would be 50 or more people going there every single Saturday night. Never mind the quiet days in the week.

Generally if there's a market for something it will exist. If there's a gap in the market then go for it, you might succeed but statistically you're more likely to fail.

I recently tried Chico's in Stone and the vegan options were plenty and they vegan dishes i had, were delicious (exclamation mark times two).

I regretted my starter but only because it was so filling, but when i clocked the couple next to me with their doggy bags, i had Chico's put almost half of my main in a takeaway tray and had Chico leftovers the next evening.

It's a must for any members of the Vgang, out there.

I'm convinced this list is going to grow over the next few weeks and months, but as it stands...

My favourite places to go (so far) in Stafford, for (dedicated) vegan options/menu;
