A dilemma has presented itself.. she's staying the night on monday, and will therefore be at my house on tuesday.... which is valentines day..... and will be the morning after our fourth date. So do I do something for valentines day or not? It's early days, but she'll be right there.... what is a shoes to do?

Thoughtfulness is grossly underrated, especially in dating, always err on the side of doing something. You don't have to make a grand gesture or do anything extravagant, but you should definitely acknowledge it's Valentine's day and do something, even if that something is as simple as going to the supermarket before she arrives to buy some nice breakfast ingredients so that you can wake up early and make a cute Valentine's breakfast together.

Seize any opportunity to demonstrate you have thought about someone. The gap between doing nothing and doing something is ten times greater than the gap between doing something small and doing something big. Far better to be seen as eager than to be seen as someone who doesn't care.

Quite correct, it's a little bit of thought and effort that should melt her heart, it sounds like you really like her so now is the perfect time to make a simple but thoughtful gesture. If she expected a lot more you know it's time to run for the hills, if you think she's a keeper make sure it's something you can do just as well or better next year or your setting yourself up for a huge sulking session down the line.

Valentine's Day

14th February

Saint Valentine was murdered on this day

Celebrate his death in style ( he had his head cut off ) by presenting boiled eggs for breakfast and then announce you are going to execute the top half of the egg whilst pretending to give sight to a blind child

Religion

Some people still think it's a good thing

I prefer it with soldiers ( toasted )

You could have asked 1 of us ladies what would we like to receive.
Personally, a cup of tea/ coffee and a single red rose would be nice. You could go all out and cook a nice breakfast too.
