General Election 2017

Yet again we have an election where it is not choosing the best option but choosing the least worst option of the 2 main parties.
I have no love for the Tories and I don't believe that May will get the clean break from the EU and tighten immigration policy to stop the UK's population going beyond 70 million within the next 10 years.
Yet look at the shambles of the Labour Party. Yes they are committed to the NHS and will build more council houses, but they have a muddled response to Brexit, too many of it's politicians have a Welcome One And All attitude to immigration and think there's a money tree somewhere to pay for all it's spending.
My main concern with Labour is the calibre of it's front bench team. Corbyn as Prime Minister ably assisted by Thornberry, Abbotts and McDonnell, politicians who would be nowhere near their prominent roles if it wasn't for Corbyn being leader.
Not that the Tory lot are much better! What a choice we have!

So Theresa says Brexit is stupid, economically the UK will be fuc#ed, but let's go ahead anyway because the people have decided...

But hey ho it's strong and stable......

May won't stop immigrants, to think otherwise is ludicrous. Where would her mates get a cheap labour force? They've even just admitted the tens of thousands target is not necessarily now on the agenda.

I grew up poor under thatcher, and while I think labour often go too far in helping those who won't work I'd rather that than what I had. Not sure how new policy (rape clause) would have worked for us, 4 kids and my dad just pissed off and didn't pay a penny?

Obviously I haven't all the answers but as it is the EU wants our money and we want a free trade agreement. I would have thought that there is scope to a agree a deal that would be beneficial for all parties.

You might be right but I suspect once the election is out the way rhetoric will be replaced by the reality of the situation.

That sounds like something I would have written, scary!
