Terrorist attack in london

Ah - so it wouldn't be the Tories foreign policies, funding terrorism by proxy, May's constant failure to address the issue of terrorism - even though she was warned many times, both as Home Secretary and Prime Minister, or May's social engineering policies which allow extremism to flourish, or the slashing of funding of police forces so they can't even perform the most basic of duties efficiently, or May's constant blaming of someone or something else for her failures.

No - of course not - it's because the internet isn't controlled by the state which means it is a threat to her and her government.

Ridiculous yet again. I can not understand people believing this rubbish she spouts day-in day-out

But then I forgot the rules ( on stupidity )

My bad

Yeah I thought it would all be all fault and nothing to do with Islamic extremists who hate this country and our way of life and want to drag the world back to the Dark Ages.
Excuse me whilst I light a candle, that will make things so much better won't it?

So you don't acknowledge any connection between the UK selling bombs to Saudi Arabia and Saudi Arabia using those bombs to kill civilians in Yemen, and extremism ?

I'm sure it suits your agenda to blame ourselves rather than the extremists but do you honestly think not selling arms to Saudi Arabia would stop extremists bombing and murdering people in this country?
If only we had a time machine and go back and stop Bush and Blair from invading Iraq, but we haven't so we are where we are.

So you admit it is in response to what has gone before, but don't think the fact that we continue to not only supply arms to the people who carry on doing this but also still carry out strikes ourselves is relevant?

I don't have any agenda

But I do study history and history is the best place to look for what will happen next

Apparently its the internets fault. I'm yet to hear the reasoning, but it was definitely the internet wot did it, and therefore she needs a back door into all online systems regardless of their location.

I'd like to add that this is the woman who can't even keep tabs on a few dozen evidence files on paedophilia, but thinks we should trust her with the internet.

I always take the TalkTalk approach with that. People will absolutely say "I've got nothing to hide" but forget that a major ISP was hacked, and the government has a habit of losing data. The idea of people publishing your entire browsing history online is a much more formidable argument to most.

With all due respect, this country has been under attack by the middle east long before the Iraq war Blair allegedly started. people conveniently forget we went to war with Iraq in a rather flimsy defence of Iran.....sorry oil, when Major was PM.

A long long list of terrorism acts goes back even longer before that.

I thought we armed both sides in the iran-iraq war, but didn't actually fight?

Even back to the 'air-policing' of the 1920s, when Iraq was 'liberated' from the Turkish Empire, only to be incorporated in the British one.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAF_Iraq_Command - as it says, the list of actions is incomplete. At one time, it was decreed that any gathering of ten or more locals could be bombed without warning as 'potentially seditious' - in reality, being in a group of seven or more, outdoors, in daylight, was pushing your luck.

There have always been strong rumours that Mustard Gas was used then, but the hard evidence is not forthcoming.

Foreign nationals who are a threat to this country should be deported and British nationals who are identified as a threat must be closely monitored.
Why stop there? when deportation is actioned, include any and all of their family members and strip them of their assetts in the process. Regarding those identified as "a threat" lock them away in solitary isolation, no visits, no mail, no internet, no phone so they cannot spread their poison any further.

You have incredible faith in our government to not make mistakes. May protects paedophiles, what on earth makes you think she'll be fair with who she targets? If I trusted our judicial system I'd agree with the death penalty - I don't.

There are people who think that bulldozing their houses will stop them supporting their relatives.

  1. I cannot accept that as anything more than an aside remark tek, I have as much or as little faith in our Government as the next chap, but we simply cannot continue to throw our hands up in horror as these attacks continue. No amount of tears, outpourings of love and flowers will make a scrap of difference. We have to take drastic measures to address these murdering bastards.
  2. Buldozing their houses really? that just removes a possible shelter for a deserving homeless person or family. Besides, there would be no such a need if their families are deported along with them.
