I found this recipe (among others of course). The site I used is www.Yummly.co

Minty Gin Ricky
Ingredients
  • 1/2 lime cut into 4 wedges
  • small handful of fresh mint leaves
  • 3 tablespoons gin
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Club soda
Directions
  1. Put the lime wedges in a highball glass and use a muddler to crush the limes.
  2. Add the mint leaves and gently muddle again. You want to lightly bruise the mint, but you don't want to tear it into little bits.
  3. Fill the glass with ice and then pour in the gin and lime juice. Top it off with club soda. Give it a stir to combine and then garnish with a sprig of mint.

That's the one - delicious!

I first had it a month or so ago in Edinburgh - the bar man was AMAZING - I just asked him for something light and refreshing and he made me this - my new favourite drink!

I had it the other weekend in Manchester - I described to the bar man what it was and he made it perfect - if you happen to be passing Jaime Olivers Italian in the next month it's their new special - (courtesy of moi) !!

Feeling I may have overdone the lime....

I do rather enjoy the lovely innocence whereby if this was in the States or summat the copy would be about guns in the gunshopshit, not getting shitfaced on a budget

Drink kills, it just does it more slowly

So I'm really drunk okay ...

I had a great night out with a friend tonight we went to pizza express (after the demise of Pastiche)

Then to the old gun shop ( what is it called now??)

Friend ordered a gin and tonic (easy for a gin bar - £6 ouch )

I asked for a gin, lime and mint with a bit of soda (amazing drink I'd had the week before in Manchester)

Aparantly this complicated mixture cannot be done in Stafford - the bar man was really rude and defensive.

He didn't suggest any delicious alternatives just argued that my drink was unreasonable. This was the bar manager.

I implored that he should get his head outo his arse. But he.didn't listen.

Love you all xxx

Apart from that I had the best night ever xxxxxxxx

This is hilarious - the Stafford Forum version of drunk texting. I posted something on here whilst drunk once but got away with it (I think)
