Crime Wave

A number
of cars were stolen in Baswich over Christmas and new year (sic)...

In the week leading up to Christmas there were reports of someone checking to see if vehicles were unlocked

A car was stolen from Witney Road

someone in a hoodie [was] seen on a drive in the early hours

on December 30 a car was stolen from Saxonfields and garages were broken into in Tixall Mews, where a classic car was stolen

'A' number you say? Is that number three?

Do i win a prize?

Shurely you mean...

A crime wave has hit an area of Stafford, with thieves targeting vehicles.

'A number' of mountain bike was stolen in Baswich in the first weeks of the year.

In the weeks leading up to the 12th of January, there were reports of somebody scratching their arse and then sniffing their fingers somewhere near the end of someone's drive. A suspicious hooded figure carrying some sort of agricultural implement was seen at the end of Oakridge Way, leading an elderly gentleman onto what appeared to be a rowing boat. And a skinny looking fecker with his pants half way down his arse spat some gum onto the ground, even though there was a bin literally two yards away.

"We have increased high visibility patrols," said a disembodied voice that may have emanated from some sort of ethereal realm.

I see you are familiar with Baswich.

But I haven't planned what I'm doing that day, how do they know where I'm heading?

Nice to see the considerately planned ALE wide load travelling down Beaconside today at 3pm. I just managed to turn right out of Sandon Road onto Beaconside in front of the arsehole in the "Convoy vehicle" that didn't think the red light on his side of the road applied to him. I can imagine it would have been chaos as the load got to the Weston Road roundabout just in time for all the school traffic. What wanker plans these journeys??

That gated "private road" could of been a good relief Road for traffic going wheeping cross to cannock Road reducing traffic volume on the double roundabout junction. Just goes to show the powers that be aren't interested on improving traffic flows.

Why not a private road??

We cannot just keep putting up the same paint by the numbers style houses and concentrating on roads.

Houses builds have to differ to for a whole demographic of people. Plus I am unaware of a private road on any other development so far proposed so it is something different.

Creating a little rat run for a few people will have little difference especially as one can get to cannock rd via other means (brocton) let alone the land I guess would unlikely sell as a thoroughfare would impact on number of houses that could be built.

The roads that need more thought is for a major road or bypass like the western access

Enjoying a drop of red.

Concentrating on roads?

Since when has the roads aspect of anything been given any concentration in this town?

You've obviously never tried to exit Brocton onto the A34 at peak times.

or bypass like the western access
At the very best the WAR will only serve to shift the point of congestion to Foregate Street.

Much more likely the existing congestion will continue because most people coming down the A518 are heading somewhere to the south or east of town or to Tesco which is situated seemingly expressly to cause congestion and an extra hotspot will be created on Foregate Street.

WAR = complete waste of taxpayers' money.
