to be honest there isn't really anywhere massive to avoid
As someone who is just about to do exactly the same thing where are the small areas that should be avoided?
Nothing I ve seen looks really bad but looking for local knowledge of roads or estates they might be worth avoid because of flood/people/noise etc

Western/Weston and vice versa, I wouldn't worry, though, the locals do it all the time.Hi everyone,
Back from our “day trip” looked at 3 houses and had a drive around. Traffic wasn’t that bad, and we managed to have a lovely lunch at Western Hall lovely place!

around 330k but looking more where to avoid as we know that we are looking to be within a 30(ish) minute walk of the station so in town is where we are looking

Yes. Marlborough Avenue has some real undesirables living there, apparently. The roads behind the hospital are a bit iffy but not awful (lived there in our last rental, I've seen worse places to live)
I've been looking for somewhere to park me pushbike.
People develop coping strategies for that sort of thing.Bet that'll be fun when the freight cars go by at 1am
