"It is not sustainable in its current form, with insufficient activity from patients in the surrounding area, therefore leaving spare capacity which is costly to the trust.

“The current set-up of services is not efficient. County Hospital is underused and Royal Stoke is overheating significantly on a continual basis."

Well that clearly means the hospital is to big for the area then if it's not getting enough patients through the doors to sustain it.

Why not transfer some services back from Stoke to Stafford then, or use the space as medical training for Keele / Staffordshire university.

So, let me get this right, the Trust moved services away from Stafford to Stoke and has now come to the conclusion that Stoke can't cope and Stafford has spare capacity.

But don't worry, Jeremy Lefroy said "he had confidence in the Trust to come up with a workable plan".

What next? Staffordshire County Council expresses disappointment in the 100% reduction in visitors to the Shire Hall since it closed?
