Uttoxeter Saturday Car Boot Sale.

As a test run for my new rear dampers, I ventured out into the Far East to peruse this weekly event, having learned of it via Facebook's auto-stalking of @Gate89 on my behalf.

It was worth the trip, it's much more like an old-style boot sale - smaller, but with a much higher interest-rating (for me) than the tat-fest that the Common has become in recent years.

It's here, in the field behind the station, where the dismantled railway line is still visible.

I got a Roebuck insulated precision screwdriver set - money back if it stops me emulating @age'd parent and allows me to maintain my present record of not having had a mains shock in the current century.

I appear to have failed to mention picking this up at a nice price, 'Roebuck' branded stuff is generally very good and unknown enough to not be worth counterfeiting.

I have just used it to partially renovate a monument in Victoria Park, without anybody catching me.

I also got one of these -

Quite superior to the traditional pincer arrangement.

Might have a look there next weekend. Did you pay to get in? What's the parking like?
