Catching up with all things forum – I never seem to have enough time to see what's going on the forum any more – I'm so busy with the projects I run.

Hoping the title of this thread may raise a few interesting discussions

What do you perceive to be a social problem?

A social problem is any condition or behaviour that has negative consequences for large numbers of people and that is generally recognized as a condition or behaviour that needs to be addressed

The projects I run provide help - support and information and guidance on; how to deal with debts and explores benefit entitlement + benefit applications (and benefit appeals when the client clearly meets the criteria for benefit but is not awarded it) Housing and Homelessness and how to build a home when you’ve got the roof over your head. We signpost and offer advice on Isolation and tackle food poverty with a foodbank and reduced priced fruit - veg - meat, bread and other supermarket surplus items.

Stafford Community Organisers at The County Stores Shop, Mill Street are in partnership with Fare Share - fighting hunger and tackling food waste. The project is run by volunteers and more volunteers are always needed. There is a variety of roles which vary from serving in the shop to collecting surplus food from supermarkets and organizing the donations of clothes, furniture and carpets in the stockroom. Taking in donations of clean carpets, nearly new shoes, children's and adults - (must be nearly new condition as we can't give old shoes away) Drop into the shop and see what were doing and grab yourself a bargain.
