Just had a text to say book in for my jab, but when booking it says I must be over 45. Confirmed with the doctors that I'm not really meant to book it, and to wait for another text.

Weird. Wasn't the next group supposed to be 40-49?

Sunak's declaration that people would quit jobs if forced to work from home had me in stitches, does he think we like to commute?
I won't take another 5 day office job unless desperate, I think 3 is the maximum needed and even that is pushing it.

Yes I think that some people do like to commute @tek-monkey , it really depends on personality, and circumstances.

My husband oversees quite a number of people, some like yourself are extremely happy working from home. They don’t have children but they do have a partner. I think that is similar to you?

Others are finding it difficult to cope working from home. Small toddlers running around, distractions, etc while they are trying to concentrate.
We know a friend in this situation who is in the office at every opportunity. If he thought that WFH was permanent I think that he would definitely be looking for another job.

Some people are single, live alone and are desperately missing the banter and camaraderie that working with like minded people can bring.

Working from home suits some people down to the ground but it’s certainly not the answer for everyone.

When all the excitement started, I gave the admin staff the opportunity to work from home if they wanted to. All of them opted to keep coming into work a) because there were too many distractions at home (kids, partners etc) and b) because they couldn't face the thought of being at home seemingly without end.

I had to relocate from my office to the RV in order to ensure their work environment was Covid safe...

I think what we can all agree on is we'd all like slightly different things from our working environment in the future and everyone's feelings are valid, and let's hope companies are flexible enough to cater for all the different arrangements.

We've just launched an employee forum to work out what the options will be.

We've been told we're back in the office after Easter, not full time but still 3 days a week. Really not keen, if I'm in a college full of unvaccinated kids I may as well be in the pub.

Our cable connections are coming loose with hubby constantly putting in and out daily for over a year now. His boss is ordering a new cable "As you won't be back in the office for at least another 3 months yet"

I would hope now that WFH has been extensively tested and feasible from an employer's perspective that employers would be flexible enough to allow employees to make their own choices that suit their personal needs.

I personally have really struggled to differentiate between work and home life and have to be really disciplined to switch off from work. A post by @Bob about new year resolutions helped me realise this and touch wood I have stuck to it so far.

Felt very tired last night, sore arm through the night meant little sleep as I always sleep on that side. Other than that been OK TBH, my brother also said as soon as he went to bed his arm started hurting but he's been fine today too.
