I'll have to read some of the blurb they sent me, only noticed it was tomorrow by chance, knew it was coming, just didn't know when.

I've just noticed the local UKIP candidate has the same name as me. The cheek! I hope none of my old school mates think I've gone a bit racist.

The Greens are pushing hard here, I had a hand addressed letter from them today.

I was thinking the same then realised they've moved the polling station from St Paul's Primary school to the church opposite the island so I'll take the small one to Candid for a few drinks whilst the wife is getting her hair cut at Francesco's then go and vote....

It looks like an ‘oasis’ of a fine day for a stroll to the polling station too.
Someone once told me that, given a choice, Tories would prefer inclement weather on polling day.

It’s a sign !!

I have always voted Labour, even during the periods with Corbyn, it was always in the hope that a tory could be beaten. Every single time I wondered why the hell am I doing this. Last week I had labour call me, got shitty with me when I said I would rather they didn’t call me and I am voting Green. So yeah Labour after all these years, I think we are done.

I alternate between voting Green (who I actually want to vote for) and Labour (when it feels like a vote against the Tories is more important). Either vote feels a bit like peeing into the wind, to be honest.

Think I voted Lib Dems the year of the coalition but never again.

Speaking as someone who was in the first wave of the new student finance mess… I feel like too much is put on the LDs for that and people don’t actually realise how much they neutered the Tories during that stint

In the following general election the NUS spent all their time campaigning against the Lib Dems rather than doing something useful and I’m pretty sure that’s part of the reason we are where we are right now

Got a TUSC candidate in Stafford central, shame I got no campaigning. Nothing from greens or UKIP either actually. 2 labour, one Tory and one 'stand up to racism' leaflet.

As far as the PCC election goes, I shall spoil as I do every time.

Only had a Labour pamphlet through the door, that and our parachuted in MP leaves me very disillusioned with politics as a whole. A local raving lunatic has more chance in getting my vote if he's up for the vote.

More interested to see how voting goes in Scotland TBH.

I voted. County Councillor fair enough. Police commissioner I had to grit my teeth. Bullshit jobs for the boys.

Smaller parties struggle in these sort of elections - they can't target ever single seat as the reality is, the prospects of winning in a high amount of them are slim. Often the party will field a paper candidate; something to get their name onto the ballot paper.

There isn't an expectation to win, but at least gives the option for folk and to start the build up for support in that area, making it a targeted seat down the line with increased campaigning.

Without a less simplistic voting arrangement, that line may be a very long one - possibly infinite.
