What are we watching on TV?

Another thing that we've been watching weekly is The Syndicate.
I do like Neil Morrisey, he sent me a Mothers Day card a few years ago, even though I don't remember giving birth to him, but that's another story.

Back to The Syndicate.
It's a ridiculous story, completely far fetched, I get totally wound up watching it, most of the characters are extremely unlikeable, the police aren't doing their job, the lottery people don't seem to be doing their job either, it's all just ridiculous but it's the final episode tomorrow and I can't wait. I shouldn't be enjoying it but I totally am.

I do hope that they get their winnings.

I just watched Christopher Nolan's film Tenet on Sky. Difficult to describe. Think James Bond, Mission Impossible, Inception and in order to spice up the pot, inverted time travel. If you're not sure what 'inverted time travel' is well Richard Feynman once described a positron as an electron moving backwards in time. In reverse entropy ? If you're not sure you know what that means then join the club, Professor Feynman himself said nobody really understands it, and he got a Nobel Prize in this stuff !!!
Suffice to say the action is right in your face from the very start and is relentless. The plot is like reverse entropy, hard to to follow. Director and writer Christopher Nolan has wound entropy and reverse entropy into a twisted pair with special effects to match. Bloody weird.
I have to wonder what Christopher Nolan drinks, good stuff whatever it is.

I'm normally fine with subtitles on foreign movies/TV, but I've got a headache tonight so I'm watching an episode of 'Money Heist' with the English dub. I must say, it's one of the better dubs I've encountered. Actually sounds like the voices exist in the environments and aren't just being read in a sound booth, if you get me.

There are some amusing discrepancies between the English subtitles and the English dub, though. For example, "I have a lie detector" just transformed into "I have a f****** w**ker detector".

Oh I loved Money Heist, stick with it, the story line is more than worth it.

If you can stick with money heist, then also try 'White Lines' written by the same author, brilliant series set in the 90's (my prime, so relevant to me). https://m.imdb.com/title/tt9073958/

Not to be confused with 'White Gold', a hysterical series about selling double glazing (or any face to face sales job) in the 80's & 90's (me again, staybrite) absolutely comedy gold. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt6010920/

There's something quite therapeutic about what he does and I won't lie we could do with him in Stafford to sort out the flooding issue...

We’re both quite partial to a period drama so we settled down last night to watch The Pursuit O Love.

Struggled through for about 35 minutes before admitting defeat and switching off
Utterly boring drivel.

I'm afraid I ditched 'Money Heist' after 3 eps as I wasn't finding it held my interest very well. Might return to it at a later date.

So last night I finally started 'Peaky Blinders' which seems as brilliant as I've heard and continued 'Fargo' after a break with season 4.

We’ve just watched the FA Cup final and are delighted that Leicester won.

When our son was at University he worked as a waiter in the hospitality suite at the football ground, later working for the owner (Vichai) and serving him his meals. It was so very sad when Vichai died in the helicopter crash in 2018.

With our son now running a pub in Leicester, it’s become our second favourite team, apparently the atmosphere in his pub right now is just fabulous.
