Wow, walked past Big Bite just and there were 4 customers in there. Most I've ever seen. Shame non of the twats was wearing a mask though.

A place to avoid.

Place to avoid anyway, we ordered from there once and gotten rotten lettuce, a mixed batch of cooked and reheated fries, and the burgers are those thin things you buy in batches of 100… the stuff you’d get from the chippy but wouldn’t expect from an actual burger place

Portugal.

Why when Portugal had extended it's state of emergency regarding Covid until the end of the month, are they going to allow Brits in for a holiday as of Monday?

More importantly why is our government allowing Brits to go to Portugal on holiday when they are saying that Covid is still a huge issue for them?

This is madness and may not end well for us poor mugs who are staying at home./

Or maybe it's just me...

Absolutely agree. Although I think Portugal isn't in too bad a position, they don't want people from Spain going in.

Amen Reverend!

To me we have got to treat this pandemic like a 'war' (albeit against an invisible enemy). Folks would not be heading abroad in a time of war!.

Lets look at the full list

Portugal - significant restrictions on activities
Israel - dodgy situation to say the least
Singapore
Australia - won't let Brits into the country
New Zealand - also won't let us in
Brunei
Iceland
Gibraltar
Falkland Islands - Ok if you don't mind it cool & windy and enjoy a diet of mutton
South Georgia & the (South) Sandwich Islands - colder & windier than the Falklands, not much of a tourist infrastructure
St Helena, Trista de Cunha & Ascention Island - Napoleon didn't fancy it

So where are you heading this summer? Or is this a bigger joke than spaghetti harvesting?

Formby? I read on social media I’ve got to quarantine for 14 nights in a hotel not of my choice because of “India variant”
Either there or Bolton but the beach is crap there apparently

Had a text today asking me to call up to book my first vaccine if I've not been called yet and I'm between the ages of 38-39.

I'm 37 though. Presumably if I ignore this one I'll get a call or another text soonish anyway?

I had the same text even though I've had my 1st shot. Had a similar message previously but said to ignore them message if I had already been contacted. I think you are ok as long as you don't reply with DECLINE. Plus you can book yourself online anyway. I'm registered with Holmcroft BTW

On news yesterday the over 35s will be offered vaccine this week.
If you book via the website you'll have more choice with location & date/time etc than with GP appointments.

Yeah, cheers, I was thinking of doing it via the website. It still says 38 and over at the min but it's just been on the news that 37yo's will be offered it from tomorrow so I'll keep an eye on it.
