I'm away til Saturday so if Noah can get there earlier it might be a better offer. Mine will only be tiny too.

Couple of gooseberry plants in pots. They are an old variety, I think Winhams Industry, a red dessert variety. The trouble is that we have transport problems at the moment so they would need picking up.

Well! Today I went and met Noah, and picked up 2 lovely looking Gooseberry bushes. Rang my (much older) sister about them, I think everyone in the Midlands heard her squeal of delight.
Next stop is a Lilac for her. I'm going be trawling a few nurseries with the much younger sister for that.

Thank you again @Noah . Really appreciated xx

I once investigated the possibility of lilac wine being an actual 'thing', outside the realm of just one song.

The most encouraging thing I could find about it was the phrase "not instantly fatal".

Given the reputation of lilac, that song has always puzzled me. However there are quite a few recipes for lilac wine on line and there seem to be varying accounts as to how poisonous it is. On the whole I think I might give it a miss

Support broad beans.

Plant out geraniums.

Dead head tulips, leave the leaves and stem to feed the bulbs.

Take euphorbia cuttings.

Pot on dalihas.

Be careful taking euphorbia cuttings, I had a nasty 'burn' from the sap of ours, ended up getting rid of it in the end.

Anyone know of anywhere local selling nice begonia plants? Asking on behalf of my folks.
I'm currently at Penkridge market and I've been buying my plants from the nursery guys for years. It's the large stall (not the little stall when you first go in).
They've got hundreds of begonia 5 for £6.
They usually sell out by lunchtime though.

Well, as it turns out, mum and dad met up with a couple of their cronies in Penkridge for a cup of tea this morning. Dad and his mate took a stroll over to the Market and bought what he wanted exactly from where you said, though not knowing at the time that you had said it.
