Following a GP phone call back a few weeks ago after a pharmacist wouldn't sell me anything and told me to contact my doctor , and then an immediate face-to-face consultation with GP within minutes , he said he'd refer me for treatment at the minor surgery clinic. "But it will be a couple of weeks..... "

Seems the doctors themselves aren't aware just how long the waiting lists are..

I rang this morning, several weeks later , just to check if they had actually sent out an appointment (as their systems keep picking up obsolete contact details for some reason) as not heard anything, to be told pre-covid days the waiting list was 6+ months. But these days it's more like minimum 12 months+ :o So not to expect to hear anything from them for a long long time yet.

Tried 2 pharmacies again this morning in the hope of buying home treatment to try in the mean time, but neither would sell it me and safest option the long wait for the minor surgery appointment :(

That’s thoughtful of him.
Has he got over his Dad,s haircut. :keke:
Did have to sort of spoil his surprise when the barmaid came and checked if we had a son in Worcester, as someone had rung to check what number table his parents were on so that he could order us drinks.

Yesterday I had to go for a blood test locally at my Stratton GP. She looked at my left arm which still held a bruise from the blood test I gave in Barnstaple last week, so she took the blood from my right arm. (Now I've got TWO empty arms !!! :P) Later in the day I had to drive to Barnstaple for a CT scan on my head. I was then told I would be injected with a contrast ... ( AS IF MY BRAIN WOULDN'T SHOW ... HAH !!) At first he tried putting it into my left arm, but that failed. So then he put it into my right arm, which went OK.
I looked at the inside of both elbows and there were needle bruises. Driving home I thought to myself if I get pulled over by the rozzers and they see these marks I'll be in the clink for being a junkie. I'd get ten years hard labour courtesy of the NHS ..... :heyhey:
The results from all this better be good ..... or BLOOD WILL FLOW. (If you'll pardon the pun.) :P

Probably means an inept Phlebotomist/blood taker, or after you had the blood taken, you bent your arm up?

I had to have an intravenous sedation (colonoscopy) a few years ago, couldn't get it in either arm as it just bubbled under the skin, so shoved it in my leg/ankle, which promptly fell out... They started the procedure only to have to give up as I was in agony, so was sent for a scan a few weeks later instead. Bloody useless. (this was not at Stafford or Stoke hospital either)

Just got our tables booked for evening meals for the first week of our holiday in various pubs. :yay: I did the sorting phone numbers and ringing this time. Last year hubby ended up accidentally booking a different place than we'd intended for the first 2 nights . Luckily turned out well with fantastic meals there though so booked that up again.

Fingers crossed it's 3rd time lucky this year and this holiday does actually go ahead......

Enjoying a drop of red.
Been mucking out the RV ready for holiday use next week. It's amazing how 9 months of being used as an office at work has led to so much mess. Worryingly so actually as I'm a fairly tidy person. I'll blame p jr who was using it for his online lessons sometimes during the latest lockdown. Also realised it was due it's second service in April! Rang the dealers as there's no way it's going to be done before we leave and they said not to worry as they would 'sort the paperwork' so that it still retains its warranty.

With no option to speak to someone on the phone , had to have tonights walk via The Bod to see if we actually had a table booked for tomorrow night. Had email confirming they received my email requesting it ,but not saying whether actually booked in or not.
No, they are fully booked all weekend. "The manager will either email back sometime to say no tables, or just not bother replying" . :o Until she said that we had been considering booking for next weekend, but giving it a miss now!

Booked our Wildwood table up earlier on our walk back instead.

Enjoyed a walk just under a mile on the Chase with Bee this afternoon.

It's the furthest she's managed to walk for ages and the injection to help with her back problem finally seems to be working. She's walking with her hind legs a lot straighter and is a lot more stable on her legs.

She'll never be able to run around like a puppy but it was nice to see her sniffing around and enjoying her walkies again.
