Went for a drive to Hixon for the Project Doughnut popup only to find they’d already left 2 hours early due to selling out

Nice drive though, and Hixon is a rather quaint little town I wouldn’t mind living in
The wife picked up a box when they were at Milford on Saturday. I am not a massive donut fan but they are bloody amazing!. Then she told me how much they cost....

The Bank House opened on Saturday with new owners. Drinks only at present but they’re looking for a chef. They’ll be serving traditional pub food s drinks. I haven’t had the chance to get in yet but I’ll be booking a table very soon. It’s pretty good by all accounts.
The Cock at Stowe was very good on Friday night. Lovely steak & good service etc all well organised & socially distanced.

They were £10 for 4 but looks like it’s now £18-20 for 6

Massive things though

Bloomin' expensive or what?!

I have to be honest and always think, ''How many boxes of cat food can I get for X amount''! That's like 2½ boxes from Sainsburys.

Ok i'm sitting down, how much ?

I hope you were sitting comfortably? That's also a lot of dog food too!

Ha Ha! They were £11 for a box of 4. Lemon drizzle, Raspberry, Jammy Dodger & Lotus Biscoff. Expensive (especially when I had got 4 Jaffa Cake 'Jonuts' from Tesco for £2) but a nice Bank Holiday treat.

Ok i'm recovered now, ruddy hell.
Got to wonder what the mark up on those is, big donut, bit of icing slap a biccie on top, makes me seen quite a pauper for liking chocolate orange donuts from Morrisons at 50p for 5

First time this year I've had the ceiling fans going .... ... not that I'm complaining, far from it !!

Worth bearing in mind though that in less than 3 weeks the nights will be drawing in. WINTER IS COMING

(Does a bunk for the bunker. (mmmmm Bunk for the bunker, I like that. It could also be ... does a bunk for my bunk in the bunker.
My mind is wandering again ... :hmm: I'll STFU.))

:bum:

When I worked in a bakery , we made teacakes for a (well known ) Stafford Teashop /Coffee house . They bought them for 1p each , and sold them toasted with a tiny pat of butter for £1.25 each.

Today, I'm getting my glad rags on and going to see my eldest (hereby known as Precious) commit to his girlfriend (hereby known as Daughter in law from Hell).
It's was held back for a year, due to this horrible virus.
I absolutely love/ adore the girl. We're closer than I am to my own daughter, told her this morning, she's the child I should have had.
Today Matthew, I'm going be smiling my head off, Today Matthew, is looking good xx

What on earth is wrong with people?
I went for a walk with the dog on Wildwood park first thing this morning and got very cross to see all this rubbish strewn about.
It’s just so lazy and thoughtless, especially as you can see a rubbish bin 20 seconds walk away.

Cover for my new barbecue arrived this morning, ordered from Outback on Friday.
Pretty good service considering it was a bank holiday weekend.
