Money is strange isn't it ? But it is better spent than stashed (so if you croak, somebody else gets to spend it ) I've still got notes in my wallet I got from the hole in the wall last year prior to the first lockdown !! Since then it's mostly been plastic or PayPal and while I accept online shopping is killing the high street, where I live the nearest high street with any realistic shops (Bude is OK for sand buckets and spades and the like,) you have to drive a round trip of 60 miles to Barnstaple. I do shop in Bude and the village (which is actually pretty well supplied with shops for every day stuff) but Amazon and various specialised online stores do pretty well by me.

It must be admitted, had she said to me, "Go ahead, make my day." All my insecurities would have overwhelmed me .... :P:P:P:facepalm:

From my 10 year old nephew today, for which I had no answer for but was grateful that he’d got the hang of percentages.

“If hand sanitizer kills 99.9% percent of germs, do the other 0.1% get really sad watching their friends die?

House prices in the Southwest have gone bloody stupid, apparently because of the lockdown. (Figure that out ??) e.g. this beachside residence, with all mod cons (you get the red bucket thrown in) at a giveaway price of £150,000. :P

Took this pix in 2012 walking Saunton Sands. It's about an 8 mile walk down a phenomenal beach from the Saunton Road down to Crow Point then back across the Burrows. Don't know if this is still there, been a few winter storms since then.
