I miss lots of pubs from my younger days, usually because every family gathering used to take place in them and they hold so many happy memories for me. My family used to frequent the following lost pubs:

Stafford Arms
Castle Tavern
The place by tesco (no idea what it is called).

More recently I miss the following

The Telegraph; The Floodgate and No.7.

Portugal’s been put on the Amber list & apparently no countries added to green list.
I’ve also heard something about a virus.

@Mudgie there was a long list of pubs in another thread about a pub crawl in 1991 that may have a few more that aren't on your list but I haven't checked.

Thanks.
Yes, I certainly recognise that because I researched and wrote it ( 25 pubs, 4 Try alsos, 10 Avoid like the plagues ) up with a map for the visitors from Wolverhampton.
For the record, it was active members of Wolverhampton CAMRA branch rather than "a bunch of lads from Wolverhampton" who decided to come on a pub crawl in Stafford and "A couple of them did a reconnoitre" is incorrect.

I did suspect that you may have had some involvement for some strange reason.

Though probably not a pub in the strictest sense, but the Charnley at the end of Douglas Road was superb!

Only went in a few times when I could (due to not being of age at the time) but when I was able to, great people and always a laugh in there.

Wasn't the New Victoria the Brahms and List ? and before that, the Victoria Inn ? Is the British Legion still going ? ... I know all the working men's clubs have long gone.

I'm still a member of the BL but there's no clubs anywhere near me except the one I go to when visiting family in Stourbridge. Not sure it that's survived COVID.

Although not a pub as such, St.Georges Social club has closed for good. Being knocked down for yet another car park.

Had some good nights in there many moons ago.
I walked out of there after a works Christmas 'do', not knowing where I was, going or what day it was. Woke the next day, bright as a button, no hangover. Sad to see the place close.
