I think you missed my point which was recognizing your achievement of doing the zip wires.
Oh ok, sorry.

But I now want to do more zip wires.

They were the parts that I was most nervous about but were without doubt the easiest bit of the challenge today.

It was the other bits that I found the most challenging.

I did a zipwire park in Costa Rica. The 1km superman was pretty scary...

@Carole I've just seen your son in a tweet. He was MCing a gig a comedian I follow was at tonight.

Fraid not. (Hands @Carole a .357 magnum and key to my study.) :P

Seriously, I’m the last person that you should be giving a pretend gun to on this forum.

I’d be getting rid of so many, well, it wouldn’t be be fair really.

But I’ll come to your study @BobClay , I think I’d like you in real life.

Why do you have to be so rude, unsupportive and dismissive?

For your information, I did about 5 zip wires today, the longest 260 metres.

It was a fabulous day out, and probably more challenging, enjoyable and satisfying than sitting on my backside reminiscing about old pubs.
Levity was my intention and I apologise unreservedly if my comment came across as "rude, unsupportive and dismissive".

Ok, fair enough.
It’s easy to mistake the intention on a forum. Generally if people are being jokey or lighthearted they back it up with an emoji.

I was feeling that I’d achieved something that I didn’t think that I could do, your comment about there being a bigger and better one somewhere was informative and interesting but sometimes a “well done you” wouldn’t go amiss. Not specifically me exactly, just generally.

I am now going to jinx the lovely weather we're having right now. As from 20:30 tonight, I shall be on 8 days annual leave. I expect to see Noah getting the Ark ready in a few mins...

I don't know anything about emojis and tend to use an explanation mark if I'm not being serious, and I hadn't thought of zip wires as being a challenge.

and I hadn't thought of zip wires as being a challenge.

As I said in a previous post, the zip wires were easy.
It was the rest of it that was a challenge.
Took 3 hours from start to finish, moving from tree to tree on moving obstacles. Each of them were different, some harder than others.

Congrats, Carole, that is indeed an achievement to have conquered your fear and done it. I did one several years back for a friend's stag do and I have a fear of heights so was bricking it a bit.

Went mostly well but there was a bit where you have to jump off a ledge (whilst harnessed up) with a rope and swing over to a big net you climb up to a platform. I decided to be brave and do the jump rather than take the "plan b" option of the bridge around the edge and was impressed with myself until I got to the net and - with the rope pulling me backwards - found I couldn't pull myself up the net as my strength is all lower and I have thin arms. I had to be rescued with a big stick with a hook on the end of it. :D

ST16 Represent.
No, one was 1983 and the other also 1980s i think.
Correct. I was in school the days of them and we had to remain indoors. The later fire was possibly 1987 as it was my final year. I lived in Donnington and went to school in Trench.

Correction. I wasnt at school as it was 1988.

Has @Noah got an ark?
I hope so! Apparently they haven't put much thought into flood defences with the new road outside here, so just imagine the deluge we're going to get the next time it belts it down................

Yes I found the Tarzan swing trickier than I thought it would be. I’m actually aching all over today, especially my arms and legs, must have used muscles that haven’t been used in years.
This one......
