Blimey @littleme do they actually want people to get better?

Or just die of starvation/ malnutrition/ scurvy so they get a vacant bed?
I've seen no veg for 48hrs now, just bread, gruel, and dried chicken.

Abd now they've realised I'm diabetic I'm banned from the lovely frsh-ish orange cups.

It's a ploy so people don't want to stay too long.

The food is Stafford hospital is better than Stoke but that's not saying much really.

Listen Mr, I've been asking to go home since I got here, they don't just let you out of these prisons for good behaviour you know!

I know I had 3 months in the same prison in 1983 and they even tied me to the bed so I couldn't escape.

Well when I say tied to the bed I was on traction for ages but I did manage to escape to the Prince of Wales a few times on my crutches.

At one time, most of my customers were "old dears", who would end up in there now and then.

Many of them confessed to me that they had embroidered the truth somewhat, in order to justify going home.

My favourite was one who was really determined to be independent as long as possible - she told them a complete pack of lies, including that her son lived in the same little close as she did, and would be on hand instantly, 24 hours a day. He lives in Bedfordshire. "All I needed was some decent food and a good night's sleep!".

11.22pm and the 2 quiet as a mouse granny's have turned into drug induced monsters.... Nurse, nurse, nurse, drugs, drugs, drugs is all I've heard for the last hour & 1/2.

My last dinner, as I'm home!

Cheese salad (leaves and cheese, what more can I say) & fruit crumble.... Which weighed about the same as me!

Enjoying a drop of red.
I had the salmon tortellini as a starter, which was pleasant, followed by the rump of lamb, which was ok but could have done with being a little more tender.

It's not what it was, let's put it that way but if the opportunity allows I might give it a go of a lunchtime when it's less busy to see how that goes.
