I don't know if you know the history of this pub but it was in danger of closing down and the villagers got together to save it.

We havent been for a while and only ever for Sunday lunch (which was very nice) and the atmosphere is lovely.

It has that feel of a village pub, very welcoming and friendly.

I've just read up on it and the TripAdvisor reviews look good. May pop in for a drink tomorrow night.

Mike has moved from the King's in Eccleshall and brought his staff and menu with him. Been tonight and we were well satisfied, Too many pubs churn out average food, these days, but it appears he has kept a lot of customers, as there were many popping over from Eccleshall to Seighford for their first full weekend.

If you like fresh, local, home cooking - give this place a go - and take your appetite with you!

Called in for tea tonight, Mrs T went for the pan fried chicken with mustard sauce, I went for the calves liver, bacon and onion gravy. Both spot on as they always were at The Kings. Sticky toffee pudding went down well. Beer and wine also on the money, lovely house Riocha. I hear the Sunday lunches are also still bang on.

I've not been to the Hollybush since the recent change of landlord. However I am keen to get back there as Stafford Lions used it regularly for some of their function nights and fundraisers.
Good to hear the new landlord has come with an impressive reputation and of course is well known from his Eccleshall pub, The Kings Arms which is rated 4.5 stars on Trip Advisor.

We visited the milk stop today for 2 bottles of milkshake. It's a really great idea and the shakes were lovely.
