So @BobClay... I'm on series 2 episode 10 of Fargo.... There's spaseships and the Indian has gone wild and shot everyone.. .. Have I drank too much.... What now?
Also, I've just realised that my favourite person of all time (Ryan O'nan) is in it.... Swooon..... Boy did he put some weight on to be in Queen Of The South (Writer, Director, and Actor!)

Fargo, series 2 episode 7.

I can't decide if this or series one was my favourite, Billy Bob Thornton was a great character in 1, but the new cast are great in 2, even though I only recognise Kristen Dunst & what's his name off Cheers.... Ted Danson.

If you've seen Breaking Bad, Dunst's husband was creepy Todd who was with the neo nazis (or "Meth Damon" as the internet christened him).

If you haven't seen Breaking Bad........... XD

I loved the x-files.... Apart from one episode.... There was a half man/half creature roaming round killing people in locked rooms.... They discovered he was squeezing himself into the toilets and through the sewer system to get away & to the next victim. This thing dragging itself across floors absolutely terrified me and for weeks I put heavy books on the toilet sheet lid each night! (I was mid to late 20's at the time!)

That's one of my favourite eps! XD

Though what perhaps makes it less scary for me is knowing that the actor who plays the mutant has managed the impressive feat of being even more creepy than his character, given he married a 16 year old when he was 51 and Gillian Anderson revealed he offered to come to her hotel room as a "birthday treat" during filming.

No-one else has ever seen that episode.

That is some form of creepy!

David Thewlis (V.M. Varga) and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Nikki Swango) give phenomenal performances that season! They're my two favourite characters in the entire show.

Last night I completed watching the series shown recently on the BEEB: Elizabeth R. This was first transmitted 50 years ago !!!!

It was more like a series of plays covering Elizabeth's life. Mundane sets by modern standards, but relied on the acting and writing to be entertaining. (And some totally startling costumes ... you think Goths, Rockers, Punks, Skinheads, Glam Rock Bands, even Mods :barf: were a bit outrageous. Elizabethan clobber was bloody gut wrenchingly bad.

But it was utterly fascinating, and Glenda Jackson was firing on all cylinders as Elizabeth from young to old. I only caught the odd episode back when it was first broadcast because I was at sea for most of it. But did I ever enjoy the intrigue, backstabbing and political machinations it portrayed.

Elizabeth 1st was 69 years old when she died, not bad for those times. She reigned for 42 years through very turbulent times. What I liked about this presentation, (and you must remember most of history is 'opinion' not necessarily fact) is they didn't take a romantic view of her, and how wonderful she was. They showed her 'warts and all.' And didn't Glenda Jackson ever go for presenting that idea. ;)

Having a good game of Netflix ping pong whilst on holiday...

A previous tenant of the property we're staying at didn't uninstall Netflix from the smart TV, so I added a profile to watch some shows, and last night discovered it was renamed to "can you please log off"...

I'm tempted to rename it to "no thanks"....
