Some friends are going to Bloodstock in a couple of weeks. I've been pining to go along but can't really do it, partly because I'm skint after the last year but also I think I'll have a panic attack if I go from socially-distanced shopping to standing in a field with thousands of people that quickly!

But I was relieved to read that they are doing covid passports and/or negative tests required for entry plus several measures inside the campsite and arena. I had the impression after Boris did his announcement that everything was going to be a bit of a free-for-all but I'm glad to see many venues etc continuing some measures.

Probably best to not repost what appears to be a surreptitious photo down a health worker's shirt, if you see it online. It's the other side of the "up-skirting" coin really, isn't it?

Consent and all that.

Having not (knowingly) had corona virus, this long covid is the most debilitating thing* that's ever happened to me.

I've been back at work for 6 shifts, I can only work half a shift now (4hrs) as I'm so fatigued, I'm still coughing and I'm still finding it difficult to breathe.... Yesterday I worked from 7am till 11am, by 1pm I was back in bed where I stayed until 6pm, then back to bed by 11 where I slept till 7am.....I've never been so tired.

At least another 6 weeks before my breathing returns to normal and hopefully the coughing stops.

Ive never looked forward to holiday from work as much as I have in these last 6 days. Fingers crossed for some nice seaside air in the next few weeks.

*I should say, I know all about debilitation.... 20+ years ago I had a transplant operation, which ended up with me in hospital for nearly 3 months & having to relearn how to walk.... This is worse.

Hmmm, Women = Boobies = tabloids = Men = conforming =desirable =intelligence =housewife =kids =no kids = career = boobies = and so we go on on and on x (you ask me to tell you :) soz)
It is all of those things... But also its a bit Benny Hill.... I'm sure no offence was meant..... And for me as a woman, none was taken..... If my boobs* make you have a vaccine that will keep you safe and healthy,... Then so be it.

*not my boobs, but happy if you think they are & they get you vaccinated!

Having just been to a gig I have a few thoughts on this.

They asked to see your QR code to say you were vaccinated, but didn't scan it and didn't check the name matched your ID. Logistically it'd take so much longer to do this so I understand, but it does mean anyone can use an image from someone else. Inside was no distancing and virtually no masks, I felt OK (but strange) in the seated area but I'm not ready for the standing yet. We avoided the bar for obvious reasons.

No venue has to take any measures, the ones that are seem to be doing it because they know a lot of people won't come unless they at least pretend.
