What I Did This Weekend - In Pictures!

I've never been a huge fan of the fluorescent light over the bench, it was a 'temporary measure' twenty five years ago and is 'OK', but I resolved to replace it with six 5W LED GU10s. It was a bit of a fiddle to do, but it'll be worth it - a better spread of light and a 'nicer' colour...

Mundane facts about your day: Part Deux.

Last weekend, somebody hit a lamppost and part of the town's streetlighting system collapsed, so that the streets on my side of the town centre here are dark, remarkably dark, like it used to be in the 70s. Wandering into town has required me to reinstall the previous programme - walking down...

Mundane facts about your day: Part Deux.

I remember someone, possibly Graeme Garden, returning an uncompleted survey form. "I was unable to complete your survey as I couldn't find the box to tick for "buttockclenchingly piss-poor".

Mundane facts about your day: Part Deux.

I am less prone to the early morning start than you might be, so I expect to survive this decision. Gripped by the fervour, I have also taken the handle off the snow shovel, to make its summer storage more efficient - although, this does stay in the house. Digging your way to the Shed to get...

Mundane facts about your day: Part Deux.

The annual ceremony marking the end of winter has occurred. A (very) small procession has carried the de-icer spray from its winter location in the hall down to the summer quarters in the Shed.

    What's for dinner/tea?

That was not about the air fryer, it was about your complete failure as a supervisor.

    What's for dinner/tea?

Someone insisted on giving me an air fryer and I've finally actually used it, after a month, to cook chicken and too many chips. It seemed to turn out OK. We'll see if I survive the night.
