Over 2000 people attended the game against Hednesford. I was one of them. A very good advert non league football.

Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

They didn't stretch. I'm not sure what white stuff you are picking up but it's not the 'snow' my kids were covered in when leaving the snow dome and carried into my car. It was paper in the snow dome.

Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

They weren't plastic flakes. It felt to me, like paper. My kids went into the snowdome so I now have lots of 'snow' in my car.

Stafford shops closing - Turning into a ghost town?

I know it's not your article. However, just i wanted to correct an error in the article. Because the planning application went to the planning committee it would have been councillors that sit on the committee that have granted prior approval for the demolition of the building - not the...

Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

Councillors don't get involved in the appointment of consultants and Tetra Tech are not based in the midlands. Tetra Tech, in conjunction with SBC planners / estates team, would have chosen the planning strategy for the Guildhall. I'm just struggling to understand why they've adopted the...

Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

They could have knocked down both together when they've decided what they want to do with the Guildhall site and used the same demolition contractor. I'm also not aware of any applications for the co-op at this time. As it is now, SBC have employed Tetra Tech to submit a demolition application...

Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

No, Redrum is excluded from the application. I've already commented on the application. Whilst I'm pleased progress is being made on the Guildhall Shopping Centre, im confused as to why stafford borough council feel the need to submitt a separate planning application for the partial demolition...

    Redhill Brewers Fayre to close.

My children will miss the play areas at King's Horse and Redhill. Thats the only reason i went to those pubs. Much better pubs for beer and food in Stafford.

    Butler's Bell re-opened.

I don't class doombar as a decent beer but the davenports are all drinkable. As I said, it won't be my go to place I much prefer the Sun, Shrew, Bird in Hand or Candid but it is somewhere that I will visit occasionally.

    Butler's Bell re-opened.

It's decent. A good selection of drinkable real ale and nice food. It also has live entertainment. It's not my favourite pub in Stafford but it is somewhere that I will pop in to for a few beers and maybe to watch a band.
