Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

Nah , it's possible, Its a main phone network provider, you'd still need to pop by for sim card issues and upgrades. But back when I worked there, you'd have like twenty in an hour come through on a Saturday, not for a day, that's pathetic.

In possibly the quickest turn around, looks like the old game has already been let. Had a new floor in the day after game left, now it's got shop fitters in, unless Mike Ashley is using the store for another of his brands ?

    The old Jobcentre.

Well the work has started on the new bits around it. Can't see them keeping a derelict landmark, so one way or another the issue should be sorted in the next year.

    The old Jobcentre.

Seems strange to construct new businesses Infront of the backdrop of the old job centre. Hopefully that'll be redeveloped next.

Can't see that personally, sports direct itself is closing in the next few months and relocating to Riverside. At most, they'll be some posters in the window. Tbh, when it was Woolworths the entertainment counter was to the right hand of the store. The stock room is probably still there , so...

https://www.cardfactoryinvestors.com/what-we-do/the-greeting-card-market If anything, even the us markers are only predicting like a 3% decline up to 2026, but pretty sure over there there's no real big shops for cards and stuff. Think Hallmark has already closed its stand alone shops years ago.

What can realistically be done with the old Co-Op?

It does mean that someone has taken the property on though. Wonder if the deterioration is doing them a favour regarding the planning .

Spoke to miller sandy about my concerns over the roof, and they just said the new owners aren't too concerned, as they're putting plans together for an open air roof terrace on the second floor 🤔 ok then 🤣

So Lambretta is still staying in Stafford at least but moving to the vacant store next to Gregg's , the old Accessorize place. On the subject of Sports Direct , apparently according to the guys in Lambretta he's ( the Fraser Group ) actually purchased the whole shopping centre .

What can realistically be done with the old Co-Op?

That would explain why the bottom floors effectively ruined and the ceiling gave way, if water is just pouring through the building. God knows what upstairs looks like, probably like a pet cemetery, from all the dead birds. I noticed one of the support columns near red rum also seems to have...

Stafford shops closing - Turning into a ghost town?

It is a bit of a strange move, the old Woolworth's site seems marginally larger and the rents probably a bit cheaper, can only assume he's concerned it looks a bit run down now, and a bit like a jumble sale inside which I doubt is the look he's going for today. Guess the new store , like most...

Stafford shops closing - Turning into a ghost town?

Looks like they've already closed the German business. Not sure when , they said in June they were going to do a slow staged closedown, looks like that's went out the window. AO.de I'd definitely be using a credit card for AO purchases atm.
