    Stafford Traffic.

Ah, you remind me. There's been those yellow advanced warning signs on J14 of M6. There will be overnight closures of the slip roads at J14 from 29th Jan til 4th February. Apparently this is for "Litter clearance", while there are signs on S/B Entry slip, roadworks.org states that the closure...

    Site Revamp

The xenforo platform that this forum is built on is significantly better than others I have seen. At least this one gives you nice and clear notifications on the site. The best thing is that it takes you right to the first new post in any given thread. Other forums you have to read through the...

Mr Lefroy Set To Make A Big Announcement On Monday ?

Could it be announcing who's bought the Stafford Campus of Staffordshire University, or do we already know this?

    More roadworks

I agree, it's J8 where the M6 & M5 split. And actually the traffic is usually all slow for the M5. Once you're past that junction it's not so bad again.

    Mundane facts about your day...

I believe it's actually better to not use the 'recirculate' when trying to demist windscreen. It's better to bring air in from outside that matches the temperature (and hopefully less humid) outside (until you have enough heat to go the other way)

I'm just going to say it... I quite like our town centre. :)

Adventures in lighting (Or tek-monkey does LEDs)

@tek-monkey have you tried to "share" an individual photo and use the link generated from that? I can see you've shared the album and I can access that, however, that just gives you the token to the album.

    Stafford Traffic.

Always amazes me when I see people doing that, surely they must get really frustrated as those lights will always be red when theirs was green

Adventures in lighting (Or tek-monkey does LEDs)

I'm pretty sure you have to use the URL that is generated when you do the 'share'. If you've shared the album you wont have a 'shareable' link per image. Try just sharing an individual image. Even then, they may be employing some hotlink protection to preventing you from using google photos for...

Examples of poor driving you have witnessed!

I was always taught to use the handbrake when stationary in traffic to avoid the glare of break lights to people behind me. A lot of people don't do this and it is indeed frustrating! As per The Highway Code

Adventures in lighting (Or tek-monkey does LEDs)

If you're still looking to diffuse the LED you could try a gel. Gels are usually used in traditional theatre lighting to get different colours but you can also get rolls of gel that don't change the colour and just diffuse the light a little bit. Although, I suspect it'd be a bit tricky to...

    Hugh wind turbine appeared.

I thought that one by the side of the M6 was a bit strange considering proximity to the nature reserve.

    M6 Roadworks J12-13

This used to be true, although it wasn't a technical "not connected". I believe it was something to do with some wording in the law that prevented any tickets being issued if the car had been tracked across multiple lanes. That's now been changed though. Additionally, that only covers the...

    Destruction of Doxey Marshes.

Is that image accurate John or another of your ramblings? I hadn't realised they were after such a large plot! Surely they can't allow this?! They wont allow Stafford Hockey Club to build an astro pitch on their own land!!

    kindle problem

This is probably a result of the CSS not loading on the webpage. If it has worked before on the kindle then it'll likely correct it self after a few refreshes

    New New Library (Tipping Street)

As wormella said, I think there's just 1 person there. They did hold an 'opening' event when they first moved in. I spoke to someone then and it seemed a bit like they didn't really know what they were going to do with the place; they mentioned a few things they *could* do with the place. They...

Staffordshire University to move everything to Stoke?

I've been told that they're operating the Stafford campus 'as normal' until 2016. Although I think they have already started to reduce some things. New students will have started the weekend just gone so basically will have 1 year of studying at Beaconside and then move to Stoke next year.

    Stafford UPVC Windows

I could be wrong and I often am but I am imaging the sub-contractor that they used was probably an electrician. It's obviously guesswork as the OP hasn't been back to explain further.
