Coal - Application for premises licence

Looks like things are beginning to move on the Waterfront unit next to Nando's. Three notices for an application for a premises licence have been pasted onto the glass windows of the empty unit. Not long now then till we have the 11th Coal in the UK? Presuming this is who they are...

    Littleworth cat demise

Saw a very sad thing on the way to work this morning. On the piece of greenery by the bowling green on Corporation street was a dead cat. Just curled up on the grass, with no obvious injury, but very much no more. Not knowing what to do I reported it to Streetscene. It was black and white...

Your vote matters. Make sure you're in!

Any other Stafford residents tried the online voters registration? The printed URL is wrong on my letter. www.elecreg.gov.uk/stafford should be www.elecreg.CO.uk/stafford. You think they'd have tested it before sending them out? :-)

I notice three or four very mature trees on the old Riverside site have bitten the dust. Old and dangerous, or sacrificed on the alter of the new shopping centre? I strongly suspect the later.

Lammascote Island - new traffic lights

Spotted today that the island is now going to have traffic lights on every junction. I thought 14 weeks was a long time just to replace the old lights with new ones. Should make the exit from North Walls much easier? Not sure how much it'll ease or cause congestion for the other traffic...
