Some of my friends will be in Lomdon tomorrow marching against the 20% cuts to the Police & changes to their terms and conditions. I expect most of you aren't aware, I wouldn't have been without friends in the Police.
What are your thoughts on the;
1) The Police?
2) Cuts to the Police?
3)...
It doesn't look like a house of God, but I'm of the opinion you don't need to be anywhere particularly grand to pray. (I'm not religious, but I'd have thought being out in the open, in the amazing countryside He created would be a much better place for prayer). If they want to improve it, and...
So any forumites do the half marathon today? It was my first one and I manageda time around 1:43 (to be confirmed).
To anyforumites that didn't run but came out as support, thanks alot, it certainly helped!
Well, we've had BT Infinity for around a month now, and it is lightyears faster than my old Sky connection.
I consistently have downloadspeeds of 36-38 megabytes per second, and upload speeds just under ten (I'm on Saxonfields). Never had it drop out, no problems to report other than my iPhone...
Eaten in and had several takeaways, always fresh and very tasty. My girlfriend is a veggie and regularly complains about standards of food for her in Balti houses. She's well chuffed with this place though!
Physically and mentally women are not the same. In some ways they are not equal, but that shouldn't mean opportunity & rights should be any different. What a boring asexual world it would be if both sexes were completely equal and thought the same. Some 'mens' jobs will never be attractive to...
As far as I know, as of yet, no other service prefer has access to BT Fibre. Sky are in negotiations, but nothing firm yet. I suspect it will come down to Ofcom intervention.
101 is the new, soon to be National, non-emergency number for Police. It will automatically direct you to your local force... Apparently. Flat rate number that's cheaper from mobiles than the usual 084 numbers
I'm training for the Stafford half so I'm running several different distances/routes. I did 9 miles on Sunday from Baswich down to Milford, up the Brocton Road and back along the A34.
I normally plan them on www.mapmyrun.com Its a useful site as you can search for routes uploaded by others...
There's already a thread about BT Infinity (BTs name for fibre broadband).
Three cabinets along Baswich Lane have been upgraded in the last month or so, with numerous others across the town. Baswich Lane is on the Stafford Exchange, meaning slow speeds due to the length and ageof the copper...
I'm a little disappointed about some posts on here- rubbishing a venue that is yet to get off its feet. Give the place time.
I'm going there for drinks this weekend, and I will report back. Hopefully I'll be going there on Christmas Eve too. A friend of mine visited the other day and told me...
Agreed- a couple of chaps in suits looking discreet, or maybe a traditional doorman (top hat etc) would look better. Sadly a sign of the times and strict licence conditions imposed.
The Forestry Commision place as Birches Valley does trees with roots, I think 3-4 foot trees cost £25.
I've used the Forestry trees for 3 years now; always lots of choice, good quality and you know the source (and so know they are sustainable). Our 7ft Fir cost £50
