For all you Stafford folk, a few dates for your diary...all events are at the Cricket Club @ Riverway and more info on any event can be obtained via info@riverway-events.co.uk
7th March 7pm : Manchester United themed football quiz, teams of 4, £10 per team, prizes for the winners ! (Stoke, Wolves, & Liverpool themed evenings to follow)
8th/9th/10th April : Cricket and Hockey Club Annual Beer Festival - 20 beers and 8 ciders for you CAMRA buffs ! Last year, we ran out of ale on the last night...so i guess it all went down well ! Entertainment and food every night - £2 entry
1st/2nd/3rd May : Stafford Outdoor Leisure Tent sale - This annual event draws customers from all over and here'll be a cricket match to watch on the Saturday too !
14th May : Stafford CC Annual Golf Day to be held at Stafford Castle Golf Club starting at 10am. the cost is £37.50 per person, teams of 4...breakfast, 18 holes of golf, 3 course meal followed by prizes. Non members welcome to enter this stableford competition.
21st May : Stafford C&HC have partnerered with The Donna Louise Trust for 2010 and the local charity will be staging a number of events at Riverway. The first is a music night on Friday 21st May. They will also be holding a fete at the ground on 26th June.
28th May : A sportsmans evening that involves a 4 course meal, legendry after dinner speaker Geoff Miller (England selector), a comedian and a sports auction. Tickets are priced at £30 ! Geoff Miller is renowned as one of the circuits best speakers and is performing at a reduced rate to help the club raise funds for a new practice area. He doesn't come this way very often, so any cricket fans are encouraged to come along and see what the fuss is all about !
25th July : England play Wales in a rounders international at Riverway. Entrance will be free, so bring the kids !
