What are people planning to do with these when they get them?

Given its got a HDMI on it, would be great as a HTPC if the spec allowed I suppose... only think I could think I would use it for.

Was thinking about turning them into VPN devices and sticking them onto my GFs and parents routers. Put a USB storage device on too and I have a cheap NAS that will also bridge them onto my server at home.

As it's so small, I like the fact that I can play with it do what I ever I want, wherever I am, depending on the perepherals.

Like to use it as a Car-PC in the car, a wearable webcam that uploads to a site would also be cool and geeky and then just a portable PC when out travelling and visiting.

Is a wide area cluster viable? For real retro-sadness, all get OpenVMS Hobbyist licences and have a Stafford DecNET running under emulation.

Just had an email from RS, asking me to give them a few details ready to place an order. Just wanted name, address and contact number for now, may mean I'm on the shortlist :D

More delays due to compliance testing...
And to think I rushed a lot of circuit redesign and building just to be ready to fly (well, trundle) when mine arrived.

Was talking to mate the other night who works at a local circuit board making facility. He reckons that if it wasn't cheaper to manufacture the things abroad (component tax/finished product tax), they could have happily churned them out on their currently idle production line as they're geared up for such things.
Actually, there are two places in Stafford that could have made them.

Seemingly they hope to have BBC Basic available for the final release version. Now how do you connect an old 5.25 floppy drive to it, or how do I connect my BBC Model B to my ethernet network? Going to be fun working that out
