I had to go to Chertsey in Surrey today Fearing that my bus wouldn't make it and having priced the train and found that a return ticket would be £148! and a trip into Euston before travelling out again I took the plunge and hired a car from Afford. Checked on the nett and got an extra 5% online discount.
£31 for the hire £35 petrol and a great little 13 plate Fiat doing 57 mpg.
Great service , no deposit, no extra mileage charges and comprehensive insurance.
Would definitely use again.

I've used them a few times for big jobs were i need a van and always had good service

i used them to move here a few months ago , my local hire company let me down at the last minute .
needed a luton with the lift at the back and couldn't get one anywhere. these guys had one , clean tidy cab and storage , pretty nippy too. 3 runs to rocester and back and still plenty of diesel left from the £20 i put in it. blokes there were really friendly too.
ill be using them again.

I use them about once a year - never had a problem - even drove their big Iveco van to Prague and back a few years ago..

I've always used Rising Brook, but they seem to have got a bit rubbish of late. Will give Afford a try next time as a result of this thread I think.
