Gotcha, is it running 2.1 then? 2.2 should be out soon and is supposed to be 450% faster than 2.1... that might solve your problem.

Other ideas - delete unused apps, install task killer, do you ever switch it off completely - if not might help.

Other more extreme options is root it and stick a custom rom on it.

I reboot about once a week, or if its acting up. Just lately my signal has gone ubershite, can't even walk through the guildhall anymore while talking (t-mobile). However a reboot often fixes it, but only temporarily.

Any recommendations for a good task killer? Must have an ignore list, last one kept killing my alarm clock!

EDIT: Yup, got 2.1. Don't use much of it though, put a few extra home screens on and a live wallpaper.

I use Task Panel.. it has an ignore list and automatic kills when the phone sleeps but only tasks you specify.

With the signal problems - sounds like you need to update the radio software - not sure if thats possible without a rooted device though.

If your even a tad like me and tend to keep new roms for phones like the android handy then you will always find that reinstalling the old apps can be a bit of a pain if you want to change the feel of the phone, so my for sure recommended app would be app brain, you will need to register at http://www.appbrain.com but you literally just click create account sign in with google account and done pretty much, this app will sync with the website and tell you the apps you have but also let you uninstall them via website and add apps via the website making things even easier lol

think we have missed the whole fun of having an android system for a phone, you get to have fun with widgets, and rather than me pointing out ones i use why not have a look at this link, as it shows the most commonly used ones that also help make your phone look slick and minimal all in one.

i was browsing xda dev's recommend the lee droid rom for any android phone, starts up with a bios with r2d2 sound effects and provides a ton of storage, plus apps 2 sd wok perfect so all apps are installed to the sd card not the phone, i mixed mine up with a carbon theme and tinted to the blue side too which seem to make it pretty slick. When i get time to sort out my home screens i will post picks

def app inventor for the win creating apps made easy, i spent a good hour or two getting to grips with eclipse what your meant to use etc, but google app inventor gave the same results in seconds, i now know how to make sounds boards etc that work from shaking the device or pressing a button

in fact this image will get you an app that will get you straight to this site nothing more nothing less i can make it so you click a button an get here as well as have other buttons to text multiple people at once etc but this was quick and simple and i just thought why not

You will notice when you press your defined back button you will get a blank screen with skill point GDavies if you would like a go back button let me know or even why not let me know the buttons to set sites you visit alot but for now, stafford forum has its very own android app, I may well create a new icon for it but for now the one that comes with is ok i feel, also when installing tick the unsigned and it will work fine, Win for the android my first iphone app was no where near as easy and is no longer available either
