Another tree gone!

It does look like the rather nice poplar in Lidl's car-park might also be in some danger of 'improvement'.

The drilling rig was in the bowling alley car-park until today, having moved over the river from Sainsbury's at some point recently.
The drilling rig has been there since at least Monday gone, could of been there late last week....

It was in the bowling alley car-park for the last few days, from Monday to this afternoon anyway - on much the same line, if observed from the Halfords junction direction...

Thank you for your enquiry, but this is likely to be a matter for the Highways Department at Staffordshire County Council. The company cutting the tree down are probably contracted by Highways, so I have forwarded your email to them, but it may be helpful if you also send them your photographs. Their email address is highways@staffordshire.gov.uk

age'd parent, expect an email from a Mark Highways Operations; on behalf of the technical review officer; on behalf of Craig Watkins, a tree officer*, he'll give you a reply much the same he did me, it'll be some copying and pasting type email.

Keep pushing for an answer though!

*on behalf of SCC, on behalf of SCC tax payers, on behalf of, erm ...us!

Does Riverslide still have a tree officer?

Yep, one Craig Watkins, Tree Officer, for Stafford Borough Council

See post #13 in this thread, his emails are quite amusing, for the wrong reasons.

I am sick of these people who apparently understand trees, I had 2 years telling the Council they were wrong. Obviously to no avail. One didn't even know what pollarding was! Same with St. George's, only 1 person there knew.

In other words: we're only the council, we don't know nuffink.
