Hi

I have used Ian in the past from windmill antiques, he was recently on the antiques road trip too!

Been past that shop for years and never thought about going in, I'll have to cajole myself to actually going in :)

It's fascinating! Definitely worthy of half an hour of your time on a Saturday afternoon.

I sold some furniture to him few years ago now, when me and other half got together we were doubled up on things and I got three quotes other two were Cannock way. He gave me the most realistic price, where the others may have just coshed me over the back of the head and been done with it.

Ian's OK.

I once was hunting through some random house-clearance-type-stuff that he'd brought to the boot sale to shift. There was an odd-looking jar - like an old sweet jar, but opaque. I picked it up merely to see what was, really. The label said "The ashes of Mrs ***** *****". As I showed him it, I said "I knew you would sell your own granny, but surely not somebody else's". He was horrified, not even knowing that it was there and hid it under the seat of the van. Oh, and it was empty.

Bumped into Ian today, he says that things have been very quiet, go in and see him, just to be sure he's OK, if nothing else....
