Anyone know a local vet doing cheap(er) AHCs?

Need to take two dogs abroad, looking at close to £400 from my vet. They actually suggested I can get it cheaper elsewhere, and the reason it's so expensive is they have to do them at home because they want to spend their days actually treating animals. However, after phoning a few places, no vet wants to touch them if you aren't already with their practice.

So, any suggestions locally? I've seen a few near the ports just wary of there being an issue and missing pre-booked connections.

I'm not sure where you are taking them but the rules on bringing dogs in to this country are temporarily tightened due to the Ukraine war. Dogs from Poland and Romania are affected. I'm not up on all the details but might be worth checking so as not to get caught out on the return?

As long as we bring them back on the uk certificate we should be OK, but we're getting EU pet passports when out there to avoid this nonsense in future.

Found a vet near the tunnel that does them cheap, pay in advance and send over all the forms and just turn up on the day to scan the chips and sign something. Park House are sending them the rabies vaccine details for me so hopefully be OK, £100 for the first dog and £30 per additional.

Both mine have passports. I was surprised that the Spanish one is different to the Romanian one. For some reason I was expecting them to be the same!
