ASDA introducing Pay and display parking

I always notice it's those paying by card at the drive through that slow things down. Again, fair enough if you've got meals totalling around £15+ but sometimes it's literally just a burger they get passed. Is there a cashpoint allergy going around?

I don't understand why some people find it so hard to leave a few pound coins in their purse/wallet/car for those occasions when you might need change.

My other half is also guilty of this by the way...he used to drive to work (goes on the train now).

Every morning he would ask me for change for the car park.....it was a daily surprise to him that he needed pound coins from Monday to Friday.
It used to drive me nuts.
My car has £1 &€1 coins in the dashboard tray and emergency £5 & €5 notes behind the sun-visor.

If they are ever 'consumed', they are replaced as soon as possible.

Having had my card "skimmed" at a cash point I'm very wary of using them now and rarely go into town to get money from the bank. So I tend to use a card in most places and keep any cash for the rare occasions I go to the pub!

Very unlucky and I feel for you, but knowing now that it can happen aren't you more clued up to be able to check for skimmers? I've never been had but I always check cashpoints anyway.

I was clued up at the time - some are very difficult to spot. I should add that luckily we realised as soon as it happened so the card was immediately cancelled and they didn't get anything.

I'd rather use a card over cash for most purchases anyway. I find it easier to track spending and at least if I lose my purse I can just cancel a card;if I lose cash it's gone.

only if you pay with "real" money and your change is greater than a £1 but if you pay for everything electronically your stuffed. if they don't give you the physical £1 bay to put back into your in car parking charge fund.
Cashback on the card at the checkout?

I lost a wallet in the street in London in 1993, with £500 (of somebody else's) cash in it - it arrived back through my letter box two days later - complete.
All depends who finds it. My ex left his wallet at the tills at an Asda store with £700 in it (he'd just sold a bike). That was the last we saw of it.

since my purse got stolen from asda when i had money in it, i dont ever carry any to be honest, id rather not lose it again. i do have sometimes change in my car, but when asda dont give you the £1 back i tend to forget ive spent it the next time i go, so i go to tesco
