Astonfields Balancing Pools warning!

For anyone who walks their dog around the balancing pools at the back of Astonfields Industrial Estate, next to the Isabelle Trail, a word of caution.
Some idiot has decided to empty a large quantity of engine oil into the water so, if your pooch likes a paddle, stop them!!!!

Thanks for letting us know. I've told hubby, who works right by there and speaks to lots walking their dogs around the pools in the morning and lunchtimes , so he will let people know when he sees them . Quite a few try stopping their dogs going in because they come out covered in that black muddy stuff .

Mmm, if you can imagine such an event, I once had to look after a child of about eight for a day. Stupidly, I took her round the "lakes" and instructed her "Do not fall in!". Within seconds, she was face down in the black mud. She stank like she had been swimming in a slurry pit. I had to hose her down in the garden. It only happened once.

I have reported the odd 'accidental' oil spillage over the years. The usual response is to put some absorbent barrages in, but I've never been aware of a culprit suffering any retribution.

Enjoying a drop of red.

Ah, I know where to take my dogs for a walk now then. No walk is a proper walk without coming home smelling of something utterly disgusting, as far as they're concerned.

Our (freshly bathed that morning just hours before) dog decided to skid on her 3 legs and accidentally join the ducks in the Wildwood pond one day. Came out absolutely ponging and covered in green slimy stuff.
