Ah, I can remember standing out in the fields watching Spitfires & ME109s dogfighting in the sky above, and He111s trundling through.

- A lot of the 1960s film Battle of Britain was filmed out of Duxford and the "air display" went on for weeks. Also had a Mitchell bomber which was used as th camera plane. One of our local ambulance drivers nearly got himself blown up during the filming at Duxford itself
